It acts of an invaluable rock enclave located at the North-West of the province of Cáceres, declared Espace Natural Protected. We find it when water of the Alagón River under Coria will be collected by the Mountain of Garrapata, by forming a gun of structure very original, necessary especially for its large quartz pikes, with characteristics similar with to those of Monfragüe. Canchos de Ramiro are zone ZEPA, i.e., Zone of Special Protection of Birds, with a surface of some 6.236 ha, which affects the municipal terms Cachorrilla, Cases of Coria, Ceclavín, Celliers, Morale, Pescueza and "Zarza Mayor".

The enclave includes/understands the tails in the Arrago and Alagón, Alcántara II dam Tajo River. Its vegetation is formed especially by Mediterranean mountain: oaks of cork, oaks, madroños, labiérnagos, lentisco, rockrose etc.

 The fauna which it contains is so special that it deserves the protection of space, in him live animals like the black stork, alimoche, black vulture, imperial eagle, golden eagle, eagle "azor perdicera", royal owl and a colony of lion vulture, probably one of largest of Europe. The population of stag in this zone is expanding clear; they have also many wild boars. As for the fish species underline the colmilleja, piece, barbel and rows

 This encalve is ideal for the practice of walk, the bicycle, swimming, kayak, and day before and even of the watery ski. And it is obviously a suitable place for the ornithologists and amateurs of the observation of the birds, it is easy to admire the flight of the vultures and those raptors, like its nests hoisted on the rocks. It is also easy to see ducks, herons and other migratory birds.

By this enclave we can carry out a Road already established and perfectly announced and with panels sets of themes located in strategic points. On the basis of the commune of Cachorrilla and at a distance of some 9.5 km is examined by the grouping of oaks of the pasture boyal. From the House of Ramiro from where one can admire the Mountain of Canchos. We will walk then by bulky a jaral and will arrive at the watchtower of Canchos since where we admire the large rock. The best time to visit the zone during the year it is in autumn and spring, when the temperatures are softer.

In Cachorrilla, Ciconia Association, created and manages the Centre of Environmental Interpretation of Canchos, is in the road of Cachorrilla with Pescueza, s/n.

This place is famous for making of delicious natural preserves, cheeses, inlays, honey, etc. And its geographical situation is strategic to visit Plasencia, Coria and Cáceres.
