The great artistic and cultural richness of Plasencia, accumulated after seven centuries, were gathered in the three museums located in the old helmet of the city.
In the Old Cathedral, one finds the Museum Of the cathedral, which was inaugurated by the Bishop Monseñor Zarranz and Pueyo during the year 1948. In their interior one preserves invaluable parts of silver, like chalices of various times, sets of plates and crowned, a money guard of century XV; a Gothic processional cross and an ivory crucify of century XIX. It underlines in particular a Gothic Bible, with invaluable miniatures. In painting, we cannot cease mentioning a table of Divino Morals which represents Jesus attached to the column and a table of Piety.
Close to this one, in which it was Hospital of Sta. María, today Complex Cultural same name, one finds the Museum Ethnographic and Textile Provincial Pérez Enciso. Its construction starts in century XIV and with being finished in century XVIII, while passing by several hands until arriving about the middle of the XIX, with the Provincial Delegation. It is this organization that which in 1984 undertakes a new readjustment of the building with cultural ends. The funds fundamental of the museum is composed in its majority by popular products cacereños, which to claim to contribute to the cultural and artistic conservation of the Area.
In their interior one lays out four rooms, where one exposes, since the equipment devoted to manufacture the wool and of ceramics, while passing by the typical costume of some people cacereños - Montehermoso, Torrejoncillo and Cabezabellosa -, various parts of the ajuar (towels, shirts, enaguas, tablecloths...), until Textile Arts Scholars, no popular.
Finally, and not for that less important, the Museum of Hunting is located in the Palate of Mirabel. Founded on January 1 de1959 by Mrs Hilda Fernández Cordoba and Mariategui, of Marquesa de Mirabel, in homage and memory of his/her father, Joaquin - Fernandez de Cordoba and Osma. In their rooms one preserves intact the hunting trophies of the duke of ARION, like his office and a carriage preserved very well.
