The temple of the cathedral, present at the sight before entering the city, chairs with large a majesty the old helmet, while being used as invitation with all that which wishes to go for one previous time.

The constructive process developed throughout the centuries, made it possible to combine, in only one building, two perfectly differentiated cathedrals:

What is old, of Romance style, is work, inter alia, Juan frances, and it is carried out during centuries XIII and XIV.

In it the hood of San Pablo, old Capitulary room underlines, whose access shows a central door and two windows in what is side. Equipped with a transition style Romance Gothic combined with certain contributions from Eastern nature (Byzantine). The hood is of square plant, with Byzantine octagonal cupola, which in the manner external a covered pyramid of grudges, similar to the tower of the "Cock" of the cathedral of Salamanca, known as the tower of "Melon". Complete the tower a ball gallonada in its higher part.

That gilded of the sculptures is in Simón López.

Of special mention by its great beauty is the Gate of the Sacristy (1498 - 1506), of style Plateresc, was carried out by Juan d' Alava with the special collaboration of Francisco de Colonies.

With the larger challengeable one finds the Tomb of the Bishop Ponce de Leon. It is carried out of marble and represents with side in speech, of Renaissance style it was carried out by Mateo Sanchez de Villaviciosa.

The body is leaned in the interior part of the southernmost gate. In a city it rocks goods organists and of great musical tradition, could not miss an instrument like this one. It acts of a philosopher's stone of style Plateresc, with beautiful sculptures and relieves.

The splendid grid Plateresc which gives access to the Chorus was carried out by the Galician goldsmith Juan Bautista Celma.

The New Cathedral preserves the seats which carried out outside, at the end of century XV by German Rodrigo for the Old Cathedral.
